FOR COLLECTIBLE PURPOSES ONLY. This is a vintage, cancelled share certificate and holds no financial value. A fantastic piece of scripophily / industrial history.

This striking California Pacific Trading Corporation share certificate, dated June 27, 1929, features a prominent American eagle perched atop a globe and olive branch—symbols of trade, vigilance, and international reach. The certificate is richly adorned with a scalloped deep blue guilloché border, engraved in fine detail, and issued for twenty-five common stock shares to Martin Judge Jr. & Company. The overall design reflects the confident optimism of the late Roaring Twenties.

Incorporated under the laws of Delaware, the California Pacific Trading Corporation is little-documented today, but its presence in Los Angeles, where the certificate was printed by Jeffries Banknote Co., suggests a West Coast commercial orientation during a period of expansion in Pacific trade. The piece is countersigned by California Trust Company and includes a $2.50 par value per share, typical of small-cap firms of the era.

This example is in decent vintage condition, showing mild toning, some handling wear, and punch cancellations. The reverse is fully endorsed and dated, bearing a red 50-cent stock transfer tax stamp and markings from Farmers & Merchants National Bank of Los Angeles. Measuring approximately 10⅞ x 8 inches, this certificate is a rare and visually engaging survivor from the months immediately preceding the 1929 financial crash, offering tangible insight into pre-Depression American trading ventures.
