Refunds & Returns Policy

We deeply value the trust you place in British & Far East Traders as custodians of rare, vintage, and historically significant objects. We stand by the accuracy of our listings and the care in which each item is handled and dispatched.

1. Eligibility for Returns

  • You may request a return within 14 calendar days of receiving your item.
  • Items must be returned in their original condition, unused and securely packaged.
  • Custom-made, personalised, or digital items are not eligible unless faulty.

2. How to Initiate a Return

Please contact us via our Returns Contact Form with your order number and reason for return.

  • Once approved, we will provide return instructions and address details.
  • Return postage is the buyer’s responsibility, unless the item arrived damaged or significantly not as described.

3. Refunds

  • Refunds are issued within 3–5 business days of receiving and inspecting the returned item.
  • We refund to the original payment method only.
  • We do not refund original postage costs unless the return is due to our error.

4. Damaged or Faulty Items

If your order arrives damaged, please notify us within 48 hours of delivery with photographic evidence of the packaging and item. We will offer a replacement, credit, or refund as appropriate.

5. Cancellations

If your item has not yet been dispatched, we will honour cancellation requests. Please contact us immediately. Once dispatched, our standard return policy applies.
