Golden light, blue skies, and the gentle chop of Mahone Bay set the tone in this double-view postcard from Oak Island Inn & Marina, Nova Scotia. From the rocky foreground to the small-boat slips and rustic wooden buildings, each image reveals a different angle of the site’s popular harbour, once a gateway for scenic cruises and local charters. It’s a calm, practical beauty — tourism infrastructure softened by maritime stillness.

Published by The Book Room Ltd., Halifax and printed in the USA by H. S. Crocker Co., this Mirro-Krome postcard was photographed by A. Burchell and is marked BR-341-C. The reverse includes identical promotional text to its companion postcard, highlighting the inn’s pool, gallery, and location just 45 minutes from Halifax. A handwritten note dated “Wed. 6th ‘83” confirms the card was in use by June 1983.

In decent condition, this card is ideal for collectors of Atlantic Canada tourism ephemera, Oak Island heritage, or vintage marina and hotel imagery. The split composition adds visual interest, offering both functional and atmospheric views of a place steeped in folklore and coastal charm.
