The honey-toned stone of St Davids Cathedral rises with quiet dignity against a crisp Pembrokeshire sky, mirrored perfectly in a still foreground pool. Delicate branches frame the reflection, suggesting early spring or winter’s end — a scene of tranquillity and reverence. The symmetry of the cathedral and its reflection offers a moment of visual poetry rooted in deep historical faith.

Posted on 10 July 2001, this postcard features a photograph by Robert O. Evans, a known documentarian of West Wales landmarks. It was printed by E.T.W. Dennis & Sons Ltd. of Scarborough and licensed for sale through their “Reflections” and “Country Scenes” lines. The title simply reads: “St. Davids Cathedral reflections, Pembrokeshire.” The reverse includes a handwritten message referencing travel through Tenby, Saundersfoot, and Haverfordwest.

The card is in decent vintage condition, retaining strong clarity and clean edges. For collectors of Welsh ecclesiastical architecture, early 21st-century travel mementos, or regional cathedral series, this is a deeply serene and photographically rich addition. Preserving this piece is preserving a reflection — literal and cultural — of enduring spiritual and regional identity.
