This beautifully tinted aerial photograph offers a majestic view of Harewood House, nestled within its extensive parkland near Leeds, Yorkshire. Built between 1759 and 1771 by John Carr of York and Robert Adam, the house is a masterpiece of Georgian design, its grandeur framed here by long shadows, sculpted lawns, and a lakeside glint through the trees.

Published by Lilywhite Ltd., Brighouse, part of the esteemed Hunting Photographic Company, the reverse notes the estate’s celebrated holdings — including Chippendale furniture, Sèvres porcelain, and masterworks of the English and Italian schools. The back also bears the “Post Office Preferred” mark, placing its printing likely in the 1960s–70s era. Unused, but with light corner damage to upper right, visible in images.

Larger format (5⅞ x 4⅛ inches) and in decent overall condition, this postcard is ideal for those interested in country houses, landscape design, aristocratic history, or Yorkshire heritage estates.
