1954 American share certificate for 100 shares in Patiño Mines & Enterprises Consolidated, featuring a dramatic mining vignette. Issued to Fred and Anna Thome as joint tenants with right of survivorship.

With its striking reddish-brown border and bold industrial engraving, this certificate captures a vivid underground mining scene where two workers operate machinery beneath rocky arches. The detailed layout and strong central emblem convey the weight of mid-century resource extraction industries. Issued in the names of Fred Thome & Anna Thome, this example is printed with full corporate styling and perforated cancellation.

Dated March 22, 1954, the certificate represents shares in Patiño Mines & Enterprises Consolidated, a Delaware-registered firm with Bolivian roots in tin and mineral mining. The company was part of a globalised extractive economy in the postwar period. The document was managed by Chase National Bank of the City of New York and engraved by the American Bank Note Company, adding to its collectibility and authenticity.

In decent archival condition, this item shows minor toning and signs of vintage handling, with dimensions of approximately 11 x 7 inches. The certificate is perforated “CANCELLED” and includes a clean reverse. It appeals to collectors interested in industrial heritage, Latin American resource enterprises, and historical mining finance.
