Issued to Charles W. Early on May 26, 1937, the certificate reflects the grandeur and ambition of America’s oil and energy expansion in the pre-war era. A robust serif title anchors the composition, with a red embossed corporate seal from New York at the foot of the layout, affirming its official status.

Consolidated Oil Corporation emerged during a period of significant industrial growth and consolidation in the petroleum sector. Incorporated under the laws of New York State, the company would eventually become part of Sinclair Oil following corporate transitions and acquisitions that shaped the mid-century American energy industry.
