Taxiing across a Royal Navy airfield with unmistakable Cold War presence, this original colour photograph captures the elegant lines of the de Havilland Sea Venom FAW.21, marked VL 737. A mainstay of Britain’s post-war naval strike and all-weather interceptor force, the Sea Venom played a pivotal role in defending NATO’s maritime flanks throughout the 1950s and early 60s.

Professionally developed on Fujicolor Crystal Archive Paper, this 6 x 4 inch photograph is a genuine period image–not a reprint or digital copy. The aircraft is clearly shown in operational paintwork, with its nose radome, twin-boom tail, and fuel tanks standing out crisply against the muted airfield backdrop. Light evidence of prior mounting and catalogue use (tape and numbering on the reverse) does not detract from its decent overall condition, as confirmed by internal QC.

Ideal for collectors of Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm historyCold War British jets, or early de Havilland jet aircraft, this is a powerful artefact of mid-20th century naval aviation. These photographs serve not just as documentation but as emotive links to the jet age’s formative frontline guardians–crafted in Britain, flown with precision, and remembered through prints like this.
