Bathed in clear Mediterranean light at an international airshow in July 1999, this original colour photograph showcases the rugged silhouette of the Aeritalia G.222, tail-marked 14-23, in service with the Italian Air Force (Aeronautica Militare). Developed as a short take-off and landing tactical transport, the G.222 became a cornerstone of Italy’s air mobility force from the Cold War into the early 21st century.

Printed on high-quality Fujicolor Crystal Archive Paper, this photograph measures approximately 6 x 3 7/8 inches and is a genuine original–not a digital copy or modern reprint. The aircraft’s distinctive twin-engine, high-wing profile is crisply captured, as is the red-striped livery and roundel of the Italian military. It shows signs of past archival use (tape and numbering to reverse) but remains in decent, display-worthy condition, fully QC-approved.
