This 1965 stock certificate from North American Aviation, Inc. is printed in stately blue tones with a central vignette depicting two allegorical female figures seated beside the company’s emblem, flanked by geometric columns. The typography and layout reflect the modernist yet formal design language of mid-century American industry. This certificate was issued to Carlisle and Jacquelin for four fully paid shares, offering a glimpse into personal investment in one of the era’s most strategically significant firms.

North American Aviation, founded in 1928 and incorporated in Delaware, was instrumental in producing aircraft for both World War II and the Cold War, including the famed P-51 Mustang and X-15 rocket plane. By the 1960s, it had become a key contractor for NASA, involved in spacecraft engineering and the Apollo programme. This certificate, signed by the company’s president and secretary, was produced by the American Bank Note Company, renowned for its detailed engraved securities.

The reverse side bears a stamp referencing Spencer Trask & Co., and signatures confirming intended transfer.
