This 1973-issued certificate for 1,000 common shares in Crowell Collier and Macmillan Inc is a visually engaging artefact of American publishing history. The certificate was printed by American Bank Note Company and originally issued to CEDE & Co., a securities depository nominee. It bears the signature of Raymond E.
