FOR COLLECTIBLE PURPOSES ONLY. This is a vintage, cancelled share certificate and holds no financial value. A fantastic piece of scripophily / industrial history.

Surrounded by a deep olive-green guilloché border, this certificate presents a finely engraved allegorical figure representing communication and global connectivity—seated with a globe, telephone cable reel, and early industrial tools. Issued on March 18, 1959, this specimen reflects the telecommunications ambitions of the International Telephone and Telegraph Corporation (ITT). The piece includes punched cancellations, a central embossed seal from Maryland, and signatures from senior corporate officers.

Founded in 1920, ITT Corporation became one of the most influential global telecommunications conglomerates of the 20th century, particularly during the Cold War era. It operated both civilian and defence contracts and expanded rapidly through acquisitions and international infrastructure. This certificate, printed by the American Bank Note Company, reflects the company’s American corporate identity during a time of significant geopolitical relevance and global expansion.

Measuring approximately 12 x 8 inches, this document is preserved in very good vintage condition, with slight age toning and light archival wear. The reverse contains a fully completed transfer stub with attachments and endorsements dated March 25, 1959, lending the item additional contextual authenticity. A collectable piece of telecommunications and finance history ideal for framing or archival portfolios.
